Pastor Barry Rumsey - Superintentent of RCS
Dr. Barry Rumsey, Superintendent of RCS, attended the University of Southern Colorado in Pueblo and Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri, where he received a Graduate of Music degree in 1978. Pastor Rumsey served eight years as an Associate Pastor of Music and Youth in churches in Republic Missouri, Youngstown, Ohio, and Decatur, Illinois. In 1984, he became the pastor of the Community Baptist Church in Lenoir City, Tennessee. During his seventeen years as their pastor, he continued his education at the Covington Theological Seminary in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, earning a Bachelor of Ministry, a Master of Divinity, and a Doctorate of Ministry in Bible. In 2001, he became the Senior Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Ruskin, Florida. Dr. Rumsey lives in Ruskin with his wife, Vicki. They have four children and four grandchildren.

Tim Vanderveer - Principal
Mr. Tim Vanderveer became the principal at RCS in May, 2004. His prior teaching and administrative experience was spent at Temple Heights Christian School in Tampa, Texas Christian Academy, Arlington, Texas, and North Florida Christian School in Tallahassee. He earned his undergraduate degree at Baptist Bible College, Springfield, Mo., and completed his master's degree in 1997 at Louisiana Baptist University. His wife, Debbie, teaches first grade at RCS. Their daughter, Tiffany, graduated from Flagler College in 2008 and works for the Florida Department of Environmental Protection.

Mrs. Barbara Grainger - Preschool Supervisor
Mrs. Barbara Grainger has 32 years experience in Christian Education as both a teacher and supervisor. This is her 27th year at RCS. She has received many special awards including: FACCS Servant of the Year, a nomination for Who's Who in American Teachers, and Wal-Mart's Teacher of the Year.

Barbara was married to her husband, J.R., a farmer, for forty-two years. They have five children: Jim is the owner of Grainger Farms and is President of the Florida Tomato Exchange; Mary is currently a teacher at Master's Academy in Vero Beach. She has 24 years of teaching experience in Broward and Dade counties; Robert is the farm manager for Grainger Farms; John is currently the Chairman of the Speech Department of Crown College in Minnesota. He previously taught at Pensacola Christian College for 20 years; Mitch is a youth and children's pastor for Sarasota Baptist Church at the Lakewood Ranch campus.

Mrs. Grainger also enjoys her 15 grandchildren and her beautiful great granddaughter.
